Description

Pubescent perennial similar to C. portenschlagiana but less coarse; stems numerous, sparsely setose. Leaves slightly more acuminate, finely dentate, margin ciliate. Flowers borne in a loose raceme or panicle, stellate, pedicellate; clayx lobes lanceolate, ciliate, tinged with purple; corolla campanulate to wide funnel-form, lavender to violet, blooming from summer to autumn.
