Description

Small tree or large multi-stemmed shrub reaching 8 m in height with smooth gray bark. Leaves smaller than the type, with shorter, obtuse lobes, the undersides tomentose when young, margins slightly toothed, bases more or less cordate. Flowers yellow, profuse, held in short umbels opening before the leaves emerge. Fall color inconspicuous, sometimes yellow-bronze.
