Description

The large, deeply lobed leaves are glossy and dramatic, held out flat on long, black stems in many layers. The foliage portion of the plant reaches about two feet high and nearly as wide, "lightening" to dark violet-burgundy as the hot weather of summer sets in. Tall, crowded bottlebrushes of mauve mature to soft pink, wonderfully fragrant and a magnet for butterflies.
