Description

Perennial or sometimes biennial to 1m, erect, hispid. Leaves to 12x2cm, linear to linear-oblanceolate. Inflorescence elongating in fruit; bracts linear; pedicels to 5mm in fruit; calyx to 10mm in fruit, lobes lanceolate, acute or obtuse; corolla dark blue, violet or red, sometimes white or yellow, tube to 7mm, limb to 15mm diameter. Nutlets to 2x4mm, obliquely ovoid.
