Description
Fragrant blue-violet flowers on long spikes open from July to September on this imposing shrub with dusty gray-green foliage. It may die back to the ground in some winters, but it will quickly reestablish itself and bloom on new wood. This introduction's flower color is noticeably more brilliant than the species.
