Description

Stems to 50 cm tall, unbranched; leaves ternate, finely incised (fernlike), the segment tips undivided, 1-2mm wide, decurrent. Flowers brick- to purple-red, the petals 8-10, stamen filaments red, anthers yellow, carpels 2-3, brown-red and shaggy pubescent, stigma red, coiled; seeds dark brown, usuallyglossy.
