Description
Habit broadly upright, shoots nodding, young shoots persistently rough pubescent; leaves rather small, somewhat reddish at the shoot tips, ovate, 4-10 cm long, short acuminate, with 9-11 vein pairs, deep green above, somewhat lighter beneath, petiole 0.5-1.0 mm; fruits about 2 cm long, light green, seeds in the center of the wing; selected around 1935...; very resistant to dutch elm disease.
