Description
Easily grown jack-in-the-pulpit from Japan has striking black flowers. The entire spathe is a deep black-purple that does not fade. The stately plant grows to nearly 3 feet tall, flowering above the foliage. Grow in shade in rich, very well-drained soil. We find that this species is very persistent in the garden.
