Description

Introduced in 1902. Bears a remarkable resemblance to the original A. hupehensis var. japonica; its color is slightly darker, the segments rather longer, and the leaves less acutely pointed; moreover the pollen is mainly infertile. Selected in Germany by Wilhelm Pfitzer. Of late years this has appeared erroneously in some lists under the name 'Profusion', which is a totally different variety (G.S. Thomas). Flowers large, double, deep purplish-pink (Hebb).
