Description

Plants reach 40' to 50' in height, forming an oval crown with glossy dark green foliage. Flowers white, borne in large, pyramidal trusses in July and August. Plants are distinguished by rapid, vigorous growth, normally growing at double the rate of other seedling trees; plants also come into flower at an earlier age. 'Regent' also tolerates urban conditions well; the waxy, glossy foliage sheds dust and resists insect feeding.
