Description

Dense pyramidal tree to at least 40' . The lustrous dark green needles are 0.75 to 1.25" long, linear-lanceolate and taper to a sharp apex. Needles are higly aromatic when bruised. The second year stems are reddish brown compared to the greenish stems of T. taxifolia. The naked seed is ellipsoid-oblong, about 1" long, green, faintly tinged purple.
