Description

Mounded, loosely branched shrub with ascending, somewhat arching branches reaching 3'- 6' in height and 4'- 9' in width. Leaves opposite, simple, ovate to ovate-oblong, sharply doubly serrate, assuming a slight yellow tinge in fall. Flowers white, 1"-2" in diameter, 4-petalled, effective in late May. Fruit a 1/3" long, shining black drupe, held in clusters of 3-4, persistent through the winter.
