Description
Tree similar to P. cembra but of looser habit reaching 20-30m in height; needles in fascicles of 5,banded yellow and green, rather loosely arranged, abscising in the second year, rather stiff, 6-12cm long with rather obtuse tips, the margins finely serrate and rough to the touch.
