Description
Declaration was selected from a controlled hybridization between S. 'Sweet Charity' and S. ×hyacinthiflora 'Pocahontas' made by Don Egolf in 1978 and released in March 2006. It was selected for its large, fragrant, striking dark reddish-purple inflorecences and open upright growth habit. It perfoms best in traditional cooler lilac growing regions. to 8.5' tall and 6.75' wide in 25 years.
