Description

Strong growing; flowers with 15 petals, somewhat larger than those of M. stellata, petals also twice as wide (DS 6). A free-flowering form; flowers 3" to 3 1/2" across with 15 white petals, borne in late April;magnificent in flower. Plants grow twice as fast as M. stellata; the parent plant is 25' to 30' tall andslightly wider; has performed well at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, USDA zone 3 (DS 9).
