Description

Stems hairy, to 2m, purple-green, stem-rooting; bulbs concentric, ovoid, 7.5cm wide, scales yellow, oblon or lanceolate, acute. Leaves to 16—6.5cm, oblanceolate, 7-9 veined, in whols off 8-14. Flowers to 50, in raceme, pendulous, recurved, turk's cap, 5cm wide, fragrant; pedicels short; tepals 3-4.5—0.6-1cm, maroon, unspotted; pollen yellow; stigma purple. Fruit 3.5—2.5cm.
