Description

Allied to L. japonicum but leaves narrower (with rolled margins). Heads of bracts more conspicuous, white felted and up to 9cm wide. Western China in the higher mountains. L. japonicum description: Tufted to clump-forming, 25-45cm in height, sometimes more, the stems leafy right to the top. Leaves on stems up to 6.5cm long, narrowly oblong, off-white woolly beneath, thinly so to glabrous above. Heads of bracts, 5-10cm in diameter, yellowish.
