Description
Abundant cones, even on young plants, with an added spring color featuring purple-red, immature cones. Can develop into a tree form, but the unusual coning habit tends to modify growth rate and shape to a broad pyramid. Known since about 1890, when it was found near Uppsala, Sweden, occurring spontaneously in the forest.
