Description
Deciduous tree to 10m. Branchlets thickly tomentose, later glabrous. Leaves 10-13cm, typically obovate deeply and sinuately 3-5 lobed, the lobes with sparse, inconspicous spines extending from veins on somewhat angled margins, base rounded or cuneate, subcoriaceous, glossy dark green above, olive to yellow-green beneath and glabrous except for downy tufts in vein axils; petiole 3cm.
