Description

Herb to 50cm. Stems glabrous. Leaves biternate, rigid, segments to 2cm, 15-17, occasionally divided 2-3-lobed, emarginate, lustrous green above, glaucous, glabrous or sparsely hairy beneath. Flowers to 12cm diameter, cup shaped, petals oblong-ovate to suborbicular, deep red; filaments pink or red; carpels 1-4, tomentose, stigma spiralling in upper part.
