Description

Plants reach 25" in height and 55" in width; leaves 9.5" long and 7" wide, chartreuse with a 3/4" wide blue-green margin, the center becoming bright gold by mid-summer; slight to moderate corregation with good substance and 10-12 vein pairs. Flowers pale lavender, 2" long, effective from mid-July to early August, held on scapes up to 40" tall. An improvement on such legendary gold-centered hostas as 'Gold Standard' and 'Janet' by having better leaf substance and more intense coloration. Discovered as a sport growing in a clump of 'Perry's True Blue' a sieboldiana 'Elegans' type, although Paul's Glory is clearly not a sieboldiana type. The "Mother Plant" must have been a hybrid, possibly H. sieboldiana x 'Fortunei'.
