Description

The "sliver (white-) margined, erect (-leaved) hosta" was found among a cultivated group in northern Honshu, Aomori Prefecture, Hirosaki City. This clone has 5 pairs of veins while the species has 7; its is also smaller. Petiole 6-8" long, flattened, without pruple dots on petiole or scape. Leaves 4-6" long, 2" wide, erect and in line with the petiole, lanceolate, petiole transition gradual, decurrent, flat, erect, smooth, thin-textured, dark green with silvery-white margin, and acuminate tip; veins 5, impressed above, smooth below. Blooms in August.
