Description
Deciduous, glabrous shrub, reaching 10' in height; leaves elliptic to oblong or obovate, to 5" long, ciliate, pale beneath; fragrant flowers appearing after the leaves, corolla salmon- pink , funnelform, 1 /2" across, stamens much exerted, ovary not glandular, style glabrous, longer than stamens; blooming August through September.
