Description

Deciduous, glabrous shrub, reaching 10' in height; leaves elliptic to oblong or obovate, to 5" long, ciliate, pale beneath; flowers appearing after the leaves, corolla apricot to orange-red, funnelform, 1.5" across, stamens much exerted, ovary not glandular, style glabrous, longer than stamens; summer-blooming.
