Description
To 25m, crown conic-columnar, branches level or ascending. Shoots pale orange-yellow, often bloomed; buds ovoid, 9mm. Leaves stout, 12-22x1.5-2.5mm, rigid, more or less radial, straight or somewhat curved forwards, green with stomata on all faces. Cones 7-11x2-3 cm; scales rounded, young trees from seed imorted from China since 1970 as this species have leaves to 35mm, and may be wrongly identified.
