Description

Fast-growing, short-lived tree reaching 40-50' in height and 20-30' in width, pyramidal and narrow in youth developing a long trunk and rounded crown at maturity. Leaves alternate, ovate to orbicular, fluttering in the slightest breeze, hence the name "quaking aspen", the fall color a clear yellow.
