Description

A neat mat-forming US native fleabane, 'Lynnhaven Carpet' is distinguished by its relatively large grey-green pubescent leaves (to 10cm/4in) and dense, matting habit, as well as its ability to thrive in a wide range of challenging conditions. We have it in deep shade around a Syringa reticulata; at Chanticleer it grows in full sun at the base of a an old oak. In the sun, it blooms profusely, with each flowering stem supporting one to a few pale mauve daisies.
