Description

Statuesque plant reaching 5' in height, 2' in width, forming a loose rosette of broad, sword-like, richgreen leaves about 46 cm (18") high, which are sharply toothed, as are the few stem leaves which occur below each flower branch. The flower heads are bulky, without pronounced clayces, like big green thimbles on short stalks; evergreen. An arresting but rather coarse plant.
