Description

Pyramidal when young, upright-oval in old age, reaching 50' to 70' in height, with a spread of 1/2 to 2/3 the height. Foliage lustrous, shimmering, glistening on the upper surface, silvery tomentose beneath. Flowers yellowish-white, fragrant, borne in 7- to 10-flowered pendulous cymes in late June to early July;generally the last Tilia to flower. Fruit egg-shaped with a short point, 1/3" to 3/8" long, whitish-pubescent, minutely warted, faintly 5-angled.
