Description

Originally M. sieboldii R17-6 from August Kehr, it is M sieboldii 'Genesis' selfed. Kehr named it to honor his friend Olav Kalleberg of Norway. 9-10 tepals of great substance, flowers 6" across, with very dark stamens. Like most M.sieboldii cultivars, it prefers part shade, forming a shrubby small tree. This was thought to be a polyploid but testing has shown it to be diploid.
