Description

Shrub, to 5m high, also tree-like, to 10m high, shoots stellate pubescent at first, quickly becoming glabrous; leaves obliquely obovate, acuminate, 7-13cm long, 5-7cm wide, sparsely finely serrate, base cuneate to round, glabrous above, underside slightly stellate pubescent; flowers in pubescent, 8-15cm long racemes, corolla 1.5-2cm long, limb lobes imbricate in the bud stage, stalk 3-4mm long; fruits obovoid, 1.5cm long.
