Description

This plant is the result of a cross created by Richard Hartlage at the Raulston Arboretum in Raleigh, North Carolina. In spring it blooms with lots of somewhat magnolia-like, 3-4" maroon red flowers with white stamens, and has attractive, bold, shiny, medium green leaves that turn an attractive soft yellow in fall. It grows into a broad shrub, about 8-10' tall, in sun or light shade.
