Description

Caddo maples are a little-known variant of sugar maple found in the canyons of Caddo and Canadian Counties in Oklahoma. They thrive in soils having a pH of 7.5 and tolerate drought and heat without a hint of leaf scorch or tatter; smaller than the typical sugar maple; fall color is reddish and can be outstanding although it develops very late in the season.
