Description

Rhizomes short, stout, scales to 4cm, lustrous brown. Stipes 10-25cm, crowded, stout, 10-25cm, stamineous, membranous, paleate as rhizome. Fronds 40-100x15-25cm, oblanceolate, bipinnatifid, shortly acuminate at apex, tapered to base, with hair-like scales, pinnae 1.5-3cm wide, numerous, spreading, 1.5-3cm wide, linear-lanceolate acuminate, sessile, veins paleate beneath, pinnules 2.5-5mm wide, narrowly oblong, rounded to very obtuse, crenate. Sori on upper part of fronds in 2 series on veins of lower part of pinnules.
