Description
A semi-woody shrub that is usually killed back in cold weather and can grow 4-8' in a single season. Trifoliate leaves are bluish-green. Rosy-purple 1/2"-5/8" long pea-shaped flowers are produced in 6"long racemes from the upper portion of the shoot, the whole constituting a 2 to 2 1/2" long loose panicle so heavy they arch over, producing a handsome fountain-like effect. Peak bloom season is September.
