Description

Tree, 50 to 75' tall by 25 to 35' in spread. Leaves lustrous dark green above with prominent, chalky-white bands below. Cones are sessile, clindrical, 2-3" long, 1 1/4" broad and bluish purple when young, becoming brown. Zones 3-6. Native to central and southern Japan.
