Description

Deciduous shrub reaching 3 m in height, the stems erect at first becoming branched and horizontally spreading in the upper half, bluish-white pruinose, sparsely prickly; leaves pinnate, leaflets 7-9, oblong-lanceolate, 3-6 cm long, the terminal leaflets larger and more rhombic, unevenly and coarsely serrate, glabrous above, the underside white tomentose. Flowers purple-pink, small, held in terminal 10-12 cm long panicles in June; fruits black.
