Description

The original thirty-year-old plant is 8' tall, 9' wide with a spreading habit. Fruits are red, 7/16" in diameter, borne singly on 1/8" long pedicels, or on 3 short-branched peduncles. The original selection was made for the following characteristics: olive-brown stem color, spreading habit, heavy fruiting, and fruit longer than that of 'Winter Red'. Southern type; requires 'Southern Gentleman' (formerly 'Early Male') for pollination (DS 36).
