Description
A selection of this North American native with showy sky blue flower spikes to 4' in late summer through fall. It differs from the species in having hairy stems, larger flowers than the species and is more robust. ‘Nekan’ (abbreviation of Nebraska and Kansas) is a seed strain that was found growing in the wild in an area north of Lincoln, Nebraska. It features whorls of 2-lipped, sky blue flowers in spikes atop stiff stems with linear grayish-green leaves. H: 24-48" W: 24-36"
