Description
Tree to 40 m in the wild; branches brown and glandular-pubescent. Leaves ovate, acute, 10-18 cm long, the base obliquely cordate, evenly simply serrate, glabrous above, pubescent on the approx. 13 vein pairs beneath; fruits held 4-6 together, cup-shaped, the hull striped, finely pubescent to glabrous, narrowing tube-like over the nut, toothed at the apex.
