Description

Round-crowned tree with gray bark; twigs pubescent at first, becoming glossy and olive-brown; leaves acutely oval-oblong, base rounded, 4 to 10 cm long, sharply double-serrate, dark green above and sparsely pubescent, pubescent on the 11 to 15 vein pairs beneath; fruit cluster 4 to 6 cm long, nutlets ovoid, 6 to 10 mm long, with hair fascicles at the apex.
