Description
Large, deciduous tree to 50m with a smooth, erect trunk; bark peeling off in flakes, cream weathering to grey. Leaves white blotched and speckled over the entire surface, 3 or 5-lobed, sinuately toothed to entire; stipules medium-sized; petiole 3-10cm. Fruit globose ca. 2.5cm thick, usually in groups of 2 together occasionally in threes or solitary, bristly, nutlets ovoid or globose with the remnant of the style at the apex.
