Description

The first commercial release of an elm cultivar using spring-flowering (U. carpinifolia) and fall-flowering (U. parvifolia) parents. Tree reaching 25' in height and 15' in width in 19 years developing a symmetrical, upright-pyramidal habit. Bark is smooth, grey-green with orange lenticels, not exfoliating; rarely flowers and no seed production has yet been observed. Highly tolerant of both DED and elm yellows, moderately resistant to elm leaf beetle damage. NA 55393 and PI 536049.
