Hibiscus sabdariffa

Hibiscus sabdariffa, often called roselle, is a plant indigenous to continental Africa that now flourishes in tropical regions of the Western hemisphere. It produces a refreshing beverage with a cranberry-like flavor and color and gives Red Zinger tea its color. Historical records indicate that Hibiscus sabdariffa was grown on plantations in tropical South America.
