Flowers are white, fruit is edible, summer foliage is clean, and fall color is brilliant red; leaves are persistent. See DS 773: this cultivar is distinct from others by its rapid growth, resistance to winter ice damage due to dense branching and large diameter branches, abundance of flowers, absence of summer leaf drop due to fungal disease, and brilliant red fall color with the leaves changing almost all simultaneously.
