Description

This purple variety is high performing, producing higher yields than Purple Passion as well as many of the green varieties. It is unique in the way it holds a deep purple color through the season and is very tender with a sweet flavor, distinctive from green varieties. As Pacific Purple produces especially large-sized spears, we recommend planting the crowns 8 inches apart rather than at the usual 12 inch spacing. This practice will produce more normal-sized diameter spears.
