Description

Rhizomatous, pubescent perennial reaching 5' in height; leaves ovate to lanceolate, to 6" long, acuminate, mostly connate-perfoliate, crenate-serrate, rugose; capitula 10-40-flowered, to 1/4" across, held in flat-topped corymbs, the flowers white.
