Description
'Oconee' is the first selection of green ash from a southern provenance and was discovered growing on an alluvial sand bar in the middle of McNutt's Creek that divides Clarke from Oconee County, GA. The parent tree is 30' high and 18' wide with distinct pyramidal-conical habit. The foliage is extremely lustrous dark green and holds into early November without developing significant fall color.
