Description

Natural Albino® Pineberry is large in size and yield, dramatic in color, and sweeter in taste than many pineberries. It has excellent winter hardiness. Natural Albino® Pineberry, like many of its ancestors, is not self-fertile; it needs pollen from a different variety to produce distinctive fruit. Nourse Farms has identified another Dutch variety to complement Natural Albino®. A recent addition to the Nourse line, Sonata, a traditional, large-fruited red strawberry variety - which also has excellent flavor and attractive appearance - has proven to be an excellent choice to grow with Natural Albino® for cross pollination. The fruit is stunning white or blushed-pink with bright red seeds. It has excellent flavor and aroma, reminiscent of pineapple. It is a unique, small berry, the size of a dime/nickel. It's a delicious and dramatic addition for any berry recipe.
