As the president of the board of directors, Dr. Nia Nunn is committed to uplifting and celebrating Black experiences and voices at Southside. In addition to Dr. Nunn’s advocacy and education on the social inequities impacting Black life, all of the experts offering programs and resources at Southside promote multifaceted approaches to Black wellness and appreciation, including through food justice. Through their food pantry and nutrition programs, led by Charles Rhody, Southside offers community members nutritious meals and access to farm harvest shares.
